# ANOMALY Knowledge · Building A High-Converting Store

## When to build the store
- Do NOT build a store first. Build only after a video is climbing and passing roughly 10k views, with "where can I buy this" comments showing up.
- That signal (climbing views + buy-intent comments) is the green light. Building before you have it wastes time on a product nobody has proven they want yet.
- Once you have the signal, the whole build is an evening of work, not a week.

## Set up Shopify
- Use Shopify at $1/month for the first three months (get it through the community link).
- The entire store takes 30-60 minutes to build.

## Suppliers, use private, not auto apps
- Do NOT use AutoDS, auto-DSers, or similar auto-fulfillment apps.
- Instead, text a private supplier directly: send a photo of the product, ask if they have it in stock and can supply it. They give you pricing and you connect it to your store.
- Private suppliers are cheaper than the auto apps. A message template for reaching out to suppliers is in the community.

## Build the page off a winner (the ANOMALY template method)
Three-step process, done inside Claude:
1. **Screenshot a competitor's store.** Use a full-page screenshot tool (e.g., GoFullPage) to capture a store/competitor you like, and grab their link too.
2. **Feed Claude the ANOMALY store template plus that screenshot + link.** The template is a proven, high-converting layout already in the community, you are filling it in, not designing from scratch.
3. **Claude returns fill-in-the-blank copy for the whole page** using your product info: headline, subheadline, benefit bullets, description, FAQ, and buy-box copy.
- Keep it simple, not clever. Do not invent product claims or benefits that aren't true of the actual product, the copy should be grounded in the real product info you give Claude.

## Raise average order value (AOV stack)
Same traffic, more revenue per order, by stacking a few offers. This alone can take a ~$30 store to a $50-90 average order.
- **Bundle**, "buy 2, save." Works because these products often get gifted, so pairs sell.
- **Add-on**, one related item offered as the natural extra on the product page.
- **Upsell**, a one-tap offer shown right after checkout completes.
- **Shipping protection**, a $1-2 add-on that is close to pure margin.

## Keep the backend simple
- Stay on top of email so you catch orders and customer questions.
- Ship fast, don't let orders sit.
- If someone asks for a refund, just give it. It's cheap and keeps the account clean; don't fear chargebacks or overthink backend risk as a beginner.
- Good product + fast shipping + quick refunds is the whole backend philosophy at this stage, nothing more sophisticated is needed yet.

## Summary checklist for "store live"
- Shopify set up ($1/mo)
- Private supplier connected
- Product page built using the ANOMALY template + a proven competitor as reference
- AOV stack (bundle/add-on/upsell/protection) added
- Backend basics in place (email monitored, fast shipping, easy refunds)
